The Space Underneath Is the Point

A twin mattress occupies a large share of a small room. Raise it and you get that footprint back for a reading corner, a play mat, a beanbag, a train table, or a desk added later. Nothing under the bed is fixed in place, so the room can be rearranged as your child’s interests change without buying new furniture.

Max & Lily builds this one with a clean, low-VOC finish, which is the sort of thing worth checking on furniture that sits in a room where a child sleeps with the door shut. Two finishes are offered: Blonde, a warm light wood, and White/Blonde, a two-tone that keeps white uprights against blonde rails. Both stay on the pale Nordic side and read as calm rather than themed, so the bed will not feel babyish by grade five.

Delivery and Setup

The loft ships flat in a single box with slat rolls, hardware, tools and clear instructions. It is heavy for its size because it is solid wood, so arrange a second pair of hands for assembly day. We ship across Canada and handle any return here at home, rather than sending it back over the border.
